Our Brother and friend to the fire service Trevor Herderhorst was always the first to attend new training sessions, and sharing what he learned with everyone. His passion for the fire service, and fire service training was a shining light for the entire fire service.

The Muddy River FOOLS – Trevor Herderhorst Memorial Training Scholarship will be awarded to members of the Muddy River FOOLS in order that they may attend FDIC with a full conference package.

The scholarship is intended for members whose departments/districts are not in the position to pay for the member’s trip to FDIC. In other words, if you know that your department/district will pay for your FDIC, please do not apply for the scholarship.

A short email explanation of why you as a member of the Muddy River FOOLS would benefit from the scholarship must be submitted to the E-Board by. Emails must be sent to:

muddy_river_fools@yahoo.comThe E-Board of the Muddy River FOOLS will choose the 2 recipients based on the email explanation as well as the member’s participation with the chapter.

The amount of the two scholarships will not exceed $1,000 each. The 2 recipients will be expected to present a training nugget at a future Muddy River FOOLS meeting based on their educational experience at FDIC.
